Politics has been mixed with absurdity, poisonings and international farce, while everyday trifles - from manicure scissors to toilet dramas - have become a metaphor for stagnation and meaninglessness. All this chaos is presented with a tired irony, where even attempts to understand reality become absurd searches for meaning in the void.
