About

Ruslan Bely is that rare comedian who does not make a hero of himself or complain about life in public, but simply tells it like it is. His concerts are not a survival manual, but rather a frank set of observations of an adult drowning in reality. Anxiety, everyday absurdity, the eternal dilemma between freedom and homeland - no ostentatious drama, only tired humor, with which it is easier not to go a little crazy. In his stories everything is mixed up: moving, Russian absurdity, depression and ruthless attempts to keep some common sense. Slight bitterness, cynical irony and not a gram of illusions - such is White's "voice". Even when it comes to surfing or fitness, behind the attempt to cling to something life-affirming peeks the very reality in which the main thing is not to start counting calories where you should just live. And yes, jokes aren't his goal, it's just that some people are helped to survive by sarcasm and a good share of honest old wistfulness.
