About

Nikki Glaser’s Perfect is a brisk little clinic in how to sound brutally honest without sounding brave. The set lives in the awkward gap between what people do in modern dating and what they’d prefer to say they do—sex, insecurities, and relationship self-sabotage, delivered with sharp self-deprecation and zero interest in being “likable.” The core idea is simple and mean (in the useful way): romance is basically a negotiation between ego and anxiety, and everyone shows up pretending they’re not bargaining. Glaser doesn’t moralize—she just points at the discomfort until it starts looking like a personality. Outside the special, she’s also become a mainstream “professional truth-teller”: she hosted the Golden Globes in 2025 (as the first solo female host) and was announced to return in 2026, after a big mainstream bump from her roast work (including Netflix’s The Roast of Tom Brady in 2024).
