Igor Pimenov is a specialist in documenting absurd reality and melancholy on the edge of everyday paradoxes. His concerts are filled with tired irony, with which he observes and describes the world around him: from the philosophy of communal kitchens to the oddities of communicating with women and the mysteries of Russian tea women.
Pimenov is not looking for pathos - he finds absurdity where others have long ago waved their hands. Subtle observations about life in post-Soviet cities, goodbyes, mortgage vampires and the momentary anxieties of the big city are intertwined with an atmosphere of madness, where each participant in the process is strange in his or her own way. The result is a chronicle of failure, a world in which absurdity is not a failure but the basis of everyday life.
