About
Andrei Atlas is a comedian for whom family life is clearly no reason to pine (unless you cry quietly from under the blanket). His concerts are a chronicle of the eternal battle for personal space, toothpaste and the right not to listen to advice on raising a cat. In "Two Bedrooms," Atlas doesn't promise romance: he details jealousy, anxiety, and awkward family compromises. Oddly enough, amid jokes about toothpaste and cold baths, a yearning for ordinary human honesty gently emerges. Love in his world is something between the ability to joke about oneself and the agonizing tolerance of other people's quirks.
