Here and about breeches with their mysterious backpacks, and about abjection as stagnation, and about the senselessness of fighting ecology for the sake of grandchildren who may not appear. Men are silent, women are demanding, and everyone is trying to survive together in an era where even sex is a risky and condemned endeavor. Irony comes through the tiredness, and humor through the bitterness of admitting that to be understood is almost a feat.
