About
In his concert "199" Artur Chaparyan still glides between eternal post-Soviet surrealism and domestic melancholy. Here, dirty floors, ridiculous tariffs, manic cats and the absurdity of conversations with "exes" all come under the cold magnifying glass of irony. It's a hard world to live in, but it's suspiciously satisfying to watch someone take it apart with indifference. Chaparyan is not looking for a way out of the chaos: he simply puts up with it, because pretending to be normal is easier than actually being normal.
